"There is talk of secret government experiments with death rays, collisions with UFOs, a demagnetised Earth’s core — and even the Second Coming of Christ."

This has fast become a global phenomenon. What on earth could be causing such unusual, mass deaths?
Scientists have been left bemused and stumped as to why so many creatures are dying, and in such devastatingly large numbers.

This picture shows just how this is a global phenomenon, and is not specific to any region within the world.
One possible reason for this is global warming, it has been suggested that global warming is the cause of this catastrophe, but the cause is still undetermined.
In Brazil, the Brazilian fishermen are now struggling to make ends meat as a result of the selling of fish has been temporarily suspended when masses of fish were discovered dead.
there is speculation that the extreme weather may be the cause, and it has been claimed that the birds were shocked by fireworks, but the scale of this is such that those explanations just wont suffice.
Last year an inquiry was set up to explore the death of unusually large amounts of crabs in the UK, but results stated that the cold weather was to cause.
In Italy 'overeating and indigestion' has been cited as the cause for all of the bird deaths, where thousands of birds have all fallen out of the sky with unusual blue markings on their beaks.

Littering the beach: The bodies of two million spot fish have washed up on the shores of Chesapeake Bay, Maryland, after unusually cold weatherMystery: Officials initially blamed high-altitude hail or lightning hitting the birds. Then preliminary lab tests concluded they had died from ¿multiple blunt force trauma¿
with our admittedly limited understanding of how nature works, I hope we don't fail to see the significance of this event, for it seems rather ridiculous to put the death of thousands of birds and fish to the cold, fireworks, and overeating.
